Careers

Want to be part of the loveliest team around?

We’re looking for a new team member to work at The Little Pottery Painting Co studio…

Shifts as follows;

Wednesdays 5:30pm - 10pm

Fridays 9:30am - 2pm

Saturdays 9:30am - 7:30pm during autumn/winter/spring months, 9:30am - 5:30pm during the summer months

Sundays 9.30pm - 5pm

This totals 23.5-25.5hrs per week exc 30 min breaks where necessary.

The Role

You’ll be running the Little Pottery Painting Co show - doing the basics of getting the shop ready for customers, greeting customers and making sure they know what to do during their time with us and helping them out throughout their visit with advice. (all of this will be included in your starter training sessions)

You’ll also be on barista duty, taking orders and making delicious hot and cold drinks including frappes, crushed coolers, speciality drinks and barista style coffee. After customers leave, you’ll be cleaning up nice and quick, ready to welcome customers for the next painting session.

But there’s so much more to the job too. We pride ourselves on creating exceptional experiences for our customers through engaging meaningfully with everyone who walks through our doors and maintaining the studio to a really high standard, making sure it’s always clean, tidy and super welcoming.

You’ll need to be a people-person through and through, ready to host people of all ages. We want each of our customers to feel very much welcome and we always promote building a rapport with regular customers to ensure they feel valued and as if they can come alone but always have a friend in the shop (you). Another super important trait we would like you to have is a keen eye for detail. You will have high standards for creating a clean and tidy environment.

To summarise, we’re looking for someone with…

  • Experience in customer service (and to enjoy it)

  • A mature demeanor and a track record of being responsible and reliable

  • An outgoing, bubbly, friendly and welcoming personality

  • Heaps of enthusiasm that you can direct into helping our customers have the best time in the studio

  • High standards for your work

  • A keen eye for detail

  • High standards of cleanliness

If you have barista experience too, that’s definitely a bonus but don't worry if not, we can give you barista training.

The studio can be a fast paced place to work so at times you’ll need to be ready and raring to go, able to prioritise tasks and be speedy yet thorough. In the slow times, you’ll need to be self-motivated to get the ‘behind the scenes’ tasks done that keep the studio running.

Occasionally, there may be a chance to work away from the studio too as we sometimes take pottery painting on the road and visit customers elsewhere, so having access to a car is also a bonus.

What do we offer?

All in all, it’s a fun, creative and inclusive place to work, with wonderful customers we get to welcome into the studio and help. We’re a small and super friendly team and - we like to think - a lot of fun to work with. Plus, you’ll get staff discount on pottery, food and drink!

You'll receive starter training to ensure you can hit the ground running.

Pay - This job will be 30p above minimum wage for your age as you'll have a key holder responsibility too which includes unlocking at the start of the day and closing down and locking up at the end of the day.

Do you think you’re who we’re looking for?

We’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and covering letter to us at hello@thelittlepotterypaintingco.co.uk - Please also include your availability to start.

Application closing date: 28th July 2025.
