Careers

Want to be part of the loveliest team around?

We’re looking for a new team member to work every Friday from 9am to 2pm and every Saturday 6.30pm to 11pm. You’ll be working alone most of the time and be solely responsible for making sure our lovely customers are well looked after.

You’ll be running the Little Pottery Painting Co show - doing the basics of getting the shop ready for customers, greeting customers and making sure they know what to do (we’ll teach you this, don’t worry!) and helping them out throughout their visit with advice. You’ll also be on barista duty, taking orders and making delicious hot drinks. After customers leave, you’ll be cleaning up nice and quick, ready to welcome customers for the next painting session.

But there’s so much more to the job too. We pride ourselves on creating exceptional experiences for our customers through engaging meaningfully with everyone who walks through our doors and maintaining the studio to a really high standard, making sure it’s always clean, tidy and super welcoming. Because of this, you’ll need to be a people-person through and through, ready to interact with and play host to people of all ages, and have high standards for creating an enjoyable, tidy environment.

We’re looking for someone with…

  • An outgoing, bubbly, friendly personality

  • The ability and passion to socially hold space for our customers and engage in genuine conversation with regulars and newbies alike

  • Heaps of enthusiasm that you can direct into helping our customers have the best time in the studio

  • Creativity and the ability to offer a little creative guidance where needed

  • Experience in customer service

  • A mature demeanor and a track record of being responsible and reliable

  • High standards for your work

If you have barista experience too, that’s definitely a bonus (we can not give you training if not!)

The studio can be a fast paced place to work so at times you’ll need to be ready and raring to go, able to prioritise tasks and be speedy yet thorough. In the slow times, you’ll need to be self-motivated to get the ‘behind the scenes’ tasks done to keep the studio up to scratch.

Occasionally, there may be a chance to work away from the studio too as we sometimes take pottery painting on the road and visit customers elsewhere, so having access to a car is also a bonus.

What do we offer?

All in all, it’s a fun, creative and accepting place to work, with wonderful customers we get to welcome into the studio and help. We’re a small and super friendly team and - we like to think - a lot of fun to work with. Though your role will mainly be working alone, there will still be plenty of communication with the rest of the team and you’ll also often have a second team member working with you during busy days and on handovers. Plus, you’ll get staff discount on pottery, food and drink!

Do you think you’re who we’re looking for? We’d love to hear from you. Please fill in the form below and we’ll send you an application form.
